Or it was designed to.
Lately, developer Saber Interactive declared that the arcade basketball sequel has been postponed from its previous May 22 release date and is currently pushed to an indefinite date. After being announced under a month past, it appeared as though the turnaround from reveal to release has been nearly too fantastic to be true. Turns out that it had been.
The official NBA Playgrounds 2 Facebook page shared with the information about the delay and stated the following:
“We have got some news to share, but we want to begin with stating ‘good things come to people who wait.’ There are fascinating things brewing with the NBA Playgrounds franchise that we believe can take arcade basketball into new levels. We can’t tell you everything today, but we can tell you this means our launch date of May 22nd will probably be moved out. Please be patient, we guarantee which NBA Playgrounds 2 will be better than ever. We will have more information to share soon. ”
It’s somewhat odd to observe a reversal delay like this take place under a week until the release of any game but the very best we could do is hope Saber Interactive and feel this delay is indeed a good thing for the franchise moving forward. We’ll keep you posted when we next hear word about which this fascinating thing is that Saber continues to be teased.
