Observing the show trailer of Rage 2 earlier now, more info on the open world first-person shot has continued to drip. Details like platforms as well as the box artwork were a number of the first information to arrive and today, it seems as if we know who’ll be creating the job.
When checking out the official Rage 2 site, the English edition of the website doesn’t share much information regarding who is creating the job, though when changing the language of the website, these details seem. Upon altering the translation of this page to Dutch, Russian, Italian, or even some of the languages supplied other than English and Japanese, that the game’s description shows Avalanche Studios along with id Software will be co-developing Rage 2.
Avalanche Studios is well-known for making a litany of all open-world titles such as Just Cause 3 and the more closely connected apocalyptic game Mad Max. Identification Software, on the other hand, served as the original developers behind Rage and lately is most recognized for the re-launch of DOOM. It seems like Avalanche was brought on to Rage 2 to help operate on the open floor characteristics of the game whilst identity Software will once again boast their always-satisfactory shooting mechanics.
On paper, the marriage of these two studios makes sense and should hopefully make Rage 2 the greatest possible game. What’s interesting about this pair working together, however, are to see whether it affects any additional rumored jobs and their timelines. Just Cause 4 along with DOOM 2 are much-rumored rumored names that some thought may appear at E3 next month, but this has just been conjecture without any proof.
Either way, we’ll surely continue to find out more about Rage 2 and either of these studio’s other projects following month through E3 2018.
