The process of creating these new additions is fairly interesting and a new video with the programmers gives you a glance at the way they established the set.
After the goofy intro, the movie starts with game manager Ben Brode as he explains how they started development on The Witchwood with the implementation of the Worgen and their changing nature. Senior game developer Dave Kosak desired to utilize Gilneas, the “ spookiest place in Azeroth ” and explains how they wished to tell horror tales about the new set
In addition, they speak about a number of the new cards such as Hagatha the Witch, which Kosak explains as “the embodiment of what you need to be scared of at the Witchwood” and the Shudderwock, that Brode claims was a “big struggle to execute” and “the most complicated card that we’ve ever made. ”
