Naughty Dog Promotes Neil Druckmann to Vice President; The Last of Us: Part II Gets New Co-Directors


Coming off the release of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy along with the groundwork for the upcoming   The Last of Us: Part II, developer Naughty Dog has revealed that several change-ups at the business leadership will be occurring heading into the studio’ s future.

Naughty Dog president Evan Wells declared through the firm’s website that Neil Druckmann, the longtime designer supporting a number of the Uncharted titles and creative director on The Last of Us along with  Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, has been promoted into the position of Vice President at Naughty Dog within an enlarged role with the business on a larger level.

Alongside Druckmann’therefore promotion, Wells also verified that although Druckmann will be taking on a larger role within the company, he’ll nevertheless be leading creative direction on the studio’s present job, The Last of Us: Part II, while   Uncharted: The Lost Legacy director Kurt Margenau and designer Anthony Newman have been announced as the game’s fresh co-directors. Naughty Dog additionally announced that Emilia Schatz along with Richard Cambier will soon be heading the layout division as Lead Designers.

With Druckmann shifting characters to a larger focus on Naughty Dog along with the introduction of some new faces into the forthcoming  The Last of Us: Part II, it will certainly be interesting to observe the way the studio is heading in using the highly-anticipated The Last of Us sequel and that which it might have in store for the near future.
