No, Armature Isn’t Making Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PS4

PS4

Yesterday, rumors started swirling that programmer Armature Studios accidentally leaked they are functioning on Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PS4. We decided to request the source: Armature though every other outlet under the sunlight was happy to report on the rumor.

Word comes Jonathan Zamkoff. When requested by DualShockers if they were operating on Metal Gear Solid HD Collection to get PS4, he tell us that this was a typo in an otherwise fresh website:

Unfortunately this was a typo by a few of our web developers and is a leak nor indication that the MGS HD set is currently coming into PS4.   Or Armature is operating on some other MGS games.

In the interim, they will be pulling the information in the website down.

However, what exactly can that rumor come from? It started swirling early last night on Reddit once Redditor naninho205 found that Armature’s website recorded — among other things — that they functioned on Metal Gear Solid HD Collection to get PS4 (and PlayStation Vita):

But as noted, that appears to merely be a typo on the webpage, which has since been fixed by Armature. However, all things on the internet spread rumors and quickly are a monster as soon as they start to stop. There are without trying if it was true, over a few outlets which have reported about the rumor:

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection was a Kojima Productions job for PS3 and Xbox 360. The game was later picked up by Armature Studios to deliver a PlayStation Vita jack at 2012, but they’re not working on the series right now.
