Awful news for Worms fans who love physiological copies of games (and happen to have a Nintendo Switch), yesterday, even Team17 declared that a physical version of Worms W.M.D. for the Nintendo Switch was canceled.
This news comes by way of the official Worms Twitter account, which responded to a fan who asked when they can expect an official launch date for its Switch version of the game. To that, the writer responded they wouldn’t longer be pursuing a physical copy for the name and that the only way to purchase the game on the Switch was to purchase it digitally through the Nintendo eShop.
We’ll no longer be pursuing a more physical variation of Worms W.M.D on Nintendo Switch.

Besides getting the base game, the Nintendo Switch variant of W.M.D. also includes a ton of additional features such as single Joy-Con service, a new Space theme, Mushroom and Tree House forts in Forts mode, as well as previously unseen customization options, which includes three new outfits.
Speaking of this Nintendo Switch version, meanwhile Team17 released a brand new upgrade to your game along with a trailer to commemorate the event. In addition, if you’d like more info about the name, check from the launch trailer, which was released back in November.
Worms W.M.D. is accessible now on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
