Drawing inspiration from the NBA Jam series, the game will feature 2-on-2 gameplay at a block-heavy stylized world. From the screenshot (seen in the feature picture), you can see real team nationalities play that is a great inclusion. Even better, gamers should be able to get their hands in the game by June 14, 2018 or July 15, 2018 as Watsham mentions the game will soon be available “ahead of the World Cup. It isn’t apparent if he’s referring to the start or the end, however, the date is quickly approaching.
Rather than announcing a formal launch, Watsham instead nudges that the game will be receiving an upcoming Kickstarter campaign as Chicken Wiggle: Re-hatched. Of course, Chicken Wiggle is a Nintendo 3DS exclusive 2D platformer that came out just earlier last year.
Last but not least was a general upgrade on Treasurenauts — Watsham’s key upcoming undertaking inherited from the Renegade Kid split, which he asserts “is that the amalgamation of everything that [he’s] learned about platformers. ” Not much is actually known about the project itself, however the work of gameplay design is complete. Now, Treasurenauts is simply fine polishing and tweaking gameplay and will be useful for E3 2018. Due to constraints, Watsham needs to set a substantial quantity of weight behind ports and the smaller projects to keep Atooi comfortably afloat.
