Final Fantasy XIV’s New Year Event Grants the Cutest Samurai Helmets Ever

Final Fantasy XIV is preparing to celebrate this New Year with its traditional Heavensturn event, which will grant players together with the normal “Kabuto” samurai helmets that are given each year.

Those are a great way to show exactly how much of a veteran you are, and in case you can match among the original bunny helmets from 2011 you can be as badass as me.

Because you may have guessed, the helmets are dressed following the year at the Greek calendar, which may cause some rather funny design “injuries” enjoy in 2015 if folks went around with a boxer’s bare bum on their head. No.

2018 is the year of the dog, and Square Enix chose to move the super-cute manner, granting players black and white versions of the “Inu Kabuto” (Inu signifies “Dog” in Japanese), with a few absolutely adorable Shiba Inu at the top. In addition, we get a full size puppy with traditional Japanese shrine decorations to our houses.

The event will start tomorrow, December 31st, at 7 AM Pacific Time, and will end on January 15th, 2018.
