The restricted run bug seems to have become a worldwide obsession as German writer Strickly Limited Games has created their way on the market with a small number of titles from the works.
However, this writer has more titles up their sleeve because they recently demonstrated that they will be publishing Sayonara UmiharaKawase ++ physically and digitally for PlayStation Vita in 2018.
Additionally, Strickly Limited Games revealed that they’ll be working together with Wonder Boy creator, Ryuichi Nishizawa, in an abysmal game. Apparently, it’s just one which was “classified by video game enthusiasts as lost after its release was cancelled”. More details about the launch will arrive in the next few weeks, however, it seems like Strickly Limited Games has found its niche in the physical media room that is limited.
With more of these publishers working with indie and Japanese programmers to provide games a proper launch there is sure to be up a few worries from gamers and enthusiasts. Though competition in this area is good its great to keep in mind that every game that gets a physical discharge that will otherwise be an electronic only title is a win for all gamers. Preserving this network is important.
